THE
HOUSE
The house has central heating, together with a log burning stove
in the dining room and an open log fire in the guest lounge. Visitors
are welcome to wander at will in the garden or just sit and relax
on the patio, a more tranquil spot, would be hard to find. The more
adventurous guests, may like to explore our seventeen acres of land,
the majority of which is deciduous woodland, a sight to behold at
bluebell time.

Our spacious bedrooms
have ensuite facilities, which include both bath and shower. They each
have lovely views, colour TV sets and tea making facilities.
ABOUT
US
We (Mark & Glenise) are both originally from Lancashire but have lived
in the Lake District for over twenty years. For over ten years we were
the chefs and also the proprietors of a country house hotel, on the outskirts
of Ambleside. We built up our reputation and were awarded two stars by
the AA and three crowns by the Cumbria Tourist Board. Our proudest achievement
however, was a listing in the Michelin Guide, which is by recommendation
only.
